Artist Spotlight features a Holy Hip-Hop Artist that is putting the gospel of Christ out to the masses. This month we are featuring J-Prodigal from the Nashville area. Check his style and peep out this interview with God's Prodigal son.
Fusion Radio: When did you start rapping?
Jay: i actually began to start freestyling at the age of 7
Fusion Radio: Where are you from?
Jay: im am from nashville,TN
Fusion Radio: When did you come to know the Lord?
Jay: i got saved when i was 12, but i didnt actually
come into a real relationship with the lord until i was 13 or 14
Fusion Radio: What's the name of your home church and who is the Pastor.
Jay: my actual home church that i started from is House of Prayer and my original Pastor is Bill Carnal
Fusion Radio: Are you signed to a label or affilated with a crew.
Jay: i am coming into hip-hop ministry this year with a
label i have started called Last Remnant Records. I have definately been blessed with a crew of beat-makers,DJ's,video crews and what have you...
Fusion Radio: Let us know what God is speaking to your heart right now?
Jay: as a matter of fact, the lord has been letting me know that febuary is a month of production and focus.From here on out till the month of april, is going to set off the whole year. I dont know what that will be, but it seems phenomenal!
Fusion Radio: What Cd is in your player or what songs is the most played on your ipod?
Jay: well, i've been in a really laid back mood lately, so i been bumpin some sade cuz i love the 80's. it was a subtle time for music back then. i've been playin her and some crystal lewis..i love crystal lewis, shes' a huge inspiration to gospel music.
Fusion Radio: Share your heart with the people?
Jay: my heart? no doubt. People of god, we are at the threshold of a new eara thats about to take place. 2008 is a year of dominance for the body of christ. it jus takes people submitting whole heartily to their personal calling and staying in that position with a godly attitude. We must reach the souls out here that dont know christ, so its urgent that we walk that walk and talk that talk...
