4th May 2010

The Fusion Fest served and outreached to over 2000 local residents from south-central Elkhart. Some of who had never been to a county fair styled festival with music, food and carnival rides. This was a great event in the regards to unity and outreach. We had over 100-150 volunteers that helped to serve and secure the grounds for the event. Fusion Radio has proved to be a great catalyst for collaboration amongst the faith and non-profit sector in the realm of outreach to at-risk youth and families.

We are now gathering stories from the community about the event, which we now know as a true impact to our community. One person mentioned. “We have never had anyone do something like this for us on our side of town.” I would like to add that the event was also shepherded by the Elkhart Police Department community relation’s division. We had no incendses of violence and no major injuries.

I would like to thank all of you public servants for the use of the park, street dept resource and the City of Elkhart and mayor offices endorsement. We are truly blessed to live in a City like Elkhart that promotes it citizens to step up to the call of public awareness and outreach to the underserved.

Thank you and God Bless.
